LANSING, MI, April 25, 2019 – Michigan Freedom Fund Executive Director Tony Daunt provided the following statement today following approval in both the House and Senate of civil asset forfeiture reform legislation:
“Lawmakers’ most important job is protecting Michigan citizens’ Constitutional rights. The passage today of bipartisan civil asset forfeiture reform is an important and needed change that puts the rights of residents above the wants of local governments.
