Taxpayers Demand More Responsible Government Spending
LANSING, MI, November 3, 2017 –Michigan Freedom Fund Executive Director Tony Daunt issued the following statement today after the submission of nearly 400,000 signatures asking lawmakers to eliminate Michigan’s costly prevailing wage mandate:
“Prevailing wage red tape drives up costs for taxpayers, and drains the bank accounts of our public schools and universities. Today, roughly 400,000 taxpayers asked Lansing to be more responsible with their tax dollars by eliminating these wasteful restrictions. We’re confident lawmakers will listen to them.”
